The Leasing Consultant plays a vital role in the leasing and management of apartment homes. They are responsible for attracting and securing prospective tenants, guiding them through the leasing process, and ensuring resident satisfaction. Key duties include marketing available units, conducting tours, properly following up with prospects and tenants, preparing lease agreements, and supporting resident retention efforts. The Leasing Consultant is also a crucial point of contact for current residents, addressing concerns and ensuring a high level of customer service to foster positive tenant relationships and encourage lease renewals.

Fair Housing:
- Ensure compliance with Fair Housing laws and complete all required training, including the full curriculum provided (as detailed in the Training Guide).
Sales:
- Build strong relationships by identifying the needs of prospective residents and matching them with the right apartment.
- Stay knowledgeable about available units and communicate applicant preferences to management.
- Schedule appointments, follow up on leads through Yardi daily.
- Stay current with pricing using Yieldstar, ensuring updated rate ranges are communicated effectively.
- Proven ability to assist with lease renewals and maintain strong resident relationships to encourage retention.
- Utilize social media platforms and Canva to design and execute engaging marketing and communication campaigns.
Resident Relations:
- Address residents’ concerns with professionalism and a positive, friendly demeanor.
- Deliver exceptional customer service with a focus on resident satisfaction and retention.
- Handle multiple tasks efficiently, ensuring that lease documents are prepared and renewed with attention to detail.
Lease Renewal Assistance:
- Strong understanding of lease renewal processes, including preparing renewal agreements, negotiating terms, tracking, and coordinating with residents to ensure timely renewals.
- Ability to identify at-risk residents and proactively engage them to encourage lease renewals and retain long-term tenants.
- Experience in organizing resident retention programs, such as renewal events or special offers to boost renewal rates.
Organizational Skills:
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks, including scheduling tours, following up with leads, and maintaining accurate records of lease agreements and resident information.
- Ability to efficiently prioritize tasks related to leasing, renewals, and resident requests, ensuring timely completion of responsibilities.
- Ensure all documentation and reporting is accurate and submitted on time, including lease agreements, renewal notices, and marketing updates.
Additional Duties:

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
