We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and the ability to perform a variety of maintenance tasks in residential and commercial settings. This role is essential for ensuring that facilities are well-maintained, safe, and functional. The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining equipment and systems while providing excellent customer service.
Duties
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on residential properties, including plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems.
- Execute residential painting tasks to enhance the aesthetic appeal of properties.
- Utilize logic controllers for troubleshooting and repairs on automated systems.
- Fabricate parts or components as needed to ensure proper operation of equipment.
- Conduct welding tasks for structural repairs or modifications.
- Use an ohmmeter and other diagnostic tools to assess electrical systems and components.
- Supervise maintenance staff or contractors during larger repair projects to ensure quality work is completed efficiently.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work completed and materials used.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing tenant inquiries and concerns in a professional manner.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a clean work environment.
Requirements
- Proven experience in facilities maintenance or a related field is preferred.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot various systems effectively.
- Familiarity with residential painting techniques is a plus.
- Experience with welding processes is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Proficiency in using logic controllers for system diagnostics is preferred.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members.
- Ability to operate an ohmmeter and other electrical testing equipment safely.
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail in all tasks performed.
- Must be able to work independently as well as part of a team environment.
