Overview :

Pembina US Corporation’s Morris (Channahon), Illinois location is recruiting for an Operator to join the team at the Aux Sable NGL Fractionation Facility.  This position reports to the Supervisor, Plant Operations in the Natural Gas Liquids Business Unit (NBU), part of Pembina’s Facilities Division.

NBU is involved in the Fractionation, Terminaling & Storage, and Logistics and Distribution of specification natural gas liquids throughout north America. Natural Gas Liquids are components of natural gas classified by weight and number of carbon atoms – Methane (C1), Ethane (C2), Propane (C3) Butane (C4) and Condensate (mixture of C5 ). Fractionation involves separating the different products in an NGL mix out into Ethane, Propane and Butane.

The successful candidate will be responsible for achieving safe operations of the Aux Sable facility. This includes maintaining continuous (24 / 7) operations of the NGL gas processing and pipeline distribution systems, mole sieve dehydration, cryogenic section, liquid hydrocarbon treating facilities, fractionation, propane refrigeration, and compression facilities.

Responsibilities may include but not limited to :

• Effective operation of equipment in the Plant; following all procedures and writing procedures as required for related plant operations;
• Ensure smooth Plant operations including, monitoring, adjusting, setting, evaluating, troubleshooting and checking mechanical equipment and instrumentation / electrical controls;
• Facilitate effective Plant maintenance including, recording operation and maintenance actions taken during shift in the operation electronic logbook, writing appropriate work requests and performing minor maintenance;
• Perform required operational functions such as :

Water treatment sampling and testing, chemical, waste, and hydrocarbon truck loading and unloading;

PSM - Participate in PHA, PSSR, and update P&IDs and procedures as needed;

Qualifications :

This position will require pre-employment screening including a background check, drug screen and possibly a fit for duty exam.

The successful candidate must live within 60 miles of the Aux Sable Facility.
