Key Responsibilities:
Compensation: Compensation will be based on a competitive norm influenced by area and peer schools, using years of teaching experience and the highest completed degree. Transcripts and verification of employment will be required. - Collaborate and work cooperatively with all department members to design engaging, quality lessons which include formative and summative assessments.
- Establish a classroom environment conducive to student learning and achievement.
- Possess strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Manage and fulfill other duties as assigned.

- Ability to sit and stand for extended periods. For elementary and lower school, sit on the floor for extended periods of time.
- Ability to enter data into a computer, to see and read a computer screen and printed material with or without vision aids
- Ability to hear and understand speech at normal classroom levels, outdoors, and on the telephone
- Ability to speak in audible tones so that others may understand clearly in normal classrooms, outdoors, and on the telephone
- Physical ability to lift, carry and/or hold up to 25 pounds to shoulder height and 50 pounds to waist height
- Ability to occasionally balance, reach, bend, squat, stoop, or kneel
- Ability to climb stairs, walk, and occasionally run, if required
- Bachelor's degree required. Master's degree preferred.
- 1-3 years of teaching experience in physics or a related subject area required.
- The ability to teach junior level physics and AP Physics preferred.
- A strong background in physics, as demonstrated by an undergraduate degree in physics or a related subject area such as physics or chemistry.
- Ability and willingness to be involved in the STEM extracurriculars currently offered through our department, i.e. Science Olympiad, Robotics (FTC) and Science Knowledge Bowl.
