What are the responsibilities and job description for the SUBSTITUTE SCHOOL NURSES position at Pembroke Public Schools?
The Mission of Pembroke Public Schools is to ensure student achievement through excellence in teaching and learning. Pembroke Public School Nurses coordinate the health and safety needs of all students to reduce health barriers and promote effective learning.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Current MA Registered Nurse License
Minimum: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
CPR certified
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Health services provided within the Comprehensive School Health Program include but not limited to:
Maintain student’s individual health records
Monitor compliance with State Immunization regulations
Assessment and treatment of injury and illness with appropriate counseling and referrals
Case management of students with diabetes, asthma and other health concerns through the implementation of Individual Health Care Plans
Administration of daily medications and treatments in accordance with physician’s orders
Conduct required, grade-appropriate, health screenings including hearing, vision, height, weight, BMI and postural screenings
Coordinate optimal level of wellness through health education and promotion of healthy lifestyle choices
$210 per day/ $30 per hour.
