As a Groundskeeper, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our grounds are well-kept, safe, and visually appealing.
Responsibilities
- Perform regular lawn care activities including mowing, edging, and fertilizing to maintain healthy grass.
- Utilize power tools and hand tools effectively for various landscaping tasks.
- Irrigate plants and lawns as needed to ensure proper hydration.
- Assist in landscape maintenance by planting flowers, shrubs, and trees while ensuring proper care.
- Maintain gardens by weeding, mulching, and pruning as necessary.
- Clear debris from pathways, parking lots, and other areas to promote safety and aesthetics.
- Monitor the health of plants and report any issues or concerns regarding pest control or disease management.
- Collaborate with team members to complete larger landscaping projects efficiently.
Experience
- Previous experience in groundskeeping or landscape maintenance is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with using power tools such as trimmers, blowers, and mowers is advantageous.
- Knowledge of horticulture principles related to plant care is a plus.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions while maintaining a positive attitude.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time effectively to complete tasks on schedule.

The Pembroke School District has an immediate opening for a full-time year round Groundskeeper. The Groundskeeper will work with the Facilities Foreman and tend to all areas of the Pembroke School District Facilities to include but not limited to: athletic fields, mowing, snow removal, painting, landscaping, etc..
Position comes with paid vacation time, sick time, personal time, life insurance, NH Retirement, medical and dental.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $15.45 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
