About the role :
As a Workday Administrator at Pen Air Credit Union, you will play a pivotal role in managing and optimizing our Workday Financials platform. This position involves overseeing system configurations, security, integrations, and the implementation of new modules to ensure seamless operations and alignment with our organizational goals. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, provide expert support, and drive continuous improvements to enhance system performance and user experience.
Major Duties and Responsibilities :
System Administration, Performance, and Optimization Lead the administration and enhancement of Workday Financials modules (e.g., General Ledger, Expenses, Supplier Accounts, and Procurement).Configure, maintain, and advise on security within Workday application. This includes domain security policies, roles, and role assignments. Develop and maintain custom reports, dashboards, and data visualizations.Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and resolve problems related to Workday functionality, data integrity, and system integrations. This ensures the system runs smoothly and any issues are promptly addressed.Develop and manage complex integrations and EIBs (Enterprise Interface Builder) requiring advanced logic, ensuring seamless data flow and system interoperabilityEnsure documentation is up to date and retained, facilitating knowledge transfer and compliance with internal policies.Change Management and Process Improvement : Oversee system testing (unit testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing) for Workday updates, enhancements, and integrations, ensuring smooth transitions and minimal disruption.Drive change management efforts, ensuring stakeholders are informed, end-users are supported during system transitions, and identifying opportunities for process improvements.Lead the assessment, design, and implementation of new processes and functionalities in Workday, enhancing system capabilities and user experience.Technical Delivery and Roadmap Execution : Drive the development and execution of the system roadmap, ensuring scalability and alignment with strategic growth initiatives, such as mergers, acquisitions, or new business opportunities.Drive end to end delivery on large, complex, cross-functional projects across multiple systems or integrations with minimal oversight. Proactively provides recommendations for system improvements.Collaborate with leadership to develop Workday strategy for financials platform development aligning with organizational goals and objectives.Monitor trends in Workday's roadmap and industry best practices to recommend innovations and maintain system competitiveness.Compliance, Data Governance, and Vendor Management : Establish data governance policies and oversee integration design and execution, ensuring seamless workflows and regulatory compliance.Manage all compliance-related activities, including security controls, audits, validations, and system audits, ensuring adherence to internal and external regulations. Implement and oversee plans to address and rectify any gaps in security and complianceManage relationships with Workday and third-party vendors, driving accountability and ensuring service-level agreements are met.Collaborate with external vendors for troubleshooting escalated issues and system optimization. Maintain relationships with cross-functional teams to address user needs and ensure a positive experience.Minimum Qualifications :
Experience : Five years to eight years of experience in a finance systems administrator role ideally with Workday experience.Education / Certifications / Licenses : A bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Information systems, or related field. Master's degree preferred Achievement of formal certifications recognized in the industry as equivalent to a bachelor's degree (e.g., Workday Pro certification).Interpersonal Skills : A significant level of trust, credibility and diplomacy is required. In-depth dialogue, conversations and explanations with customers, direct and indirect reports and outside vendors can be of a sensitive and / or highly confidential nature. Communications may involve motivating, influencing, educating and / or advising others on matters of significance. Typically includes subject matter experts as well as first level to middle managers.Other Skills : Experience as owning a portion of system delivery for business function as a Business Technology partner. Expertise in financial reporting, data analytics, and process optimization. Proven track record of managing financial system projects and teams. Analytical mindset with attention to detail and problem-solving capabilities. Demonstrated an ability to influence business stakeholders.
