Responsibilities:

• Master the Machinery: Operate manual, semi-automatic, or automatic shear machines to cut materials with precision to exact specifications.
• Handle Materials Like a Pro: Load materials onto the shear machine, ensuring they are properly aligned and securely positioned for maximum efficiency.
• Quality Above All Else: Inspect every cut for accuracy, quality, and conformity to specifications, making sure that every product meets the highest standards.
• Maintenance is Key: Perform routine maintenance on shear machinery, ensuring they run smoothly by cleaning, lubricating, and replacing worn parts.
• Safety First: Follow strict safety protocols, and use personal protective equipment (PPE) to ensure a safe and secure working environment.
• Blueprint Mastery: Interpret blueprints and technical drawings to understand material specifications, guaranteeing that the cuts are precise and meet project requirements.
• Keep It on Track: Maintain accurate records of materials processed, machine maintenance, and production output, ensuring everything stays on schedule.
• Troubleshooting Skills: Quickly identify and resolve issues with the shear machinery, adjusting settings or making minor repairs as needed to keep production on track.
• Collaborate Like a Pro: Work closely with operators, supervisors, and production teams to meet production goals and deadlines.

Requirements:

• Proven Experience: Previous experience with shear machinery or in a related manufacturing role is a plus.
• Technical Know-How: A solid understanding of mechanical systems, blueprints, and technical drawings to ensure top-notch performance.
• Physical Readiness: Ability to lift heavy materials, stand for long periods, and thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Detail-Oriented: Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate cuts and perfect materials.
• Problem-Solver: Ability to troubleshoot and resolve any machine-related issues that arise, ensuring minimal disruption to production.
• Mechanical Aptitude: Knowledge of how shear machines work, including basic troubleshooting, repairs, and adjustments.
• Team Player: Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with others to achieve production goals.
• Math Skills: Basic math skills to measure and calculate material dimensions accurately.

Qualifications:

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. Vocational or technical training in machine operation is preferred.
• Experience: Previous experience operating shear machinery or in a related manufacturing field is preferred.
