Pen Pioneer is seeking a skilled and driven Litigation Paralegal to support a growing and well-respected family law practice group in Seattle, Washington. Responsibilities
- Draft correspondence, pleadings, and legal documents from scratch
- Prepare discovery requests and responses
- Organize and manage case files, exhibits, and trial notebooks
- Assist attorneys with preparation for mediation, hearings, and trial
- Coordinate team signatures, filings, and court deliveries
- Maintain calendars and schedule client meetings, deadlines, and court dates
- Communicate professionally with clients, courts, and internal teams
- Track tasks and projects using cloud-based systems
- Meet billable hour goals (target: 5.5 hours per business day)
- Contribute to ongoing improvements in legal processes and team efficiency
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- 3 years of experience in family law litigation support
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat
- Strong time management and multitasking skills
- Exceptional communication and organizational skills
- High level of discretion and professionalism
- Comfortable working in cloud-based environments (Microsoft Teams, etc.)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Degree or certificate in Paralegal Studies or Legal Administration
- Familiarity with tools such as Clio, Dropbox, or MyPleadings
- Experience working in emotionally charged or high-stakes cases
- Financial or bookkeeping knowledge
- Background in investigative research or business fraud analytics
- International or government experience a plus
