Job Title: Attorney – Personal Injury Litigation (2nd Chair)
Location: Within 50 miles of Louisville, KY (Hybrid Role)
Salary Range: $70,000 – $90,000 annually (based on experience; commission potential in the future)

Pen Pioneer is seeking a dedicated and motivated Junior Attorney to join a respected personal injury law firm serving clients across Kentucky and Indiana. This is a hybrid opportunity with flexibility to work from home, though in-office presence will be required in the Louisville litigation office. This role is ideal for someone who thrives under leadership, takes direction well, and is ready to grow into a critical second chair litigation role alongside the firm’s lead attorney.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a high-volume caseload (average of 50 litigation files)
- Handle personal injury litigation matters, primarily motor vehicle accident cases
- Prepare and draft litigation documents including pleadings, motions, discovery, and demands
- Guide clients through every stage of the litigation process
- Prepare for and attend depositions, mediations, hearings, and court appearances
- Collaborate with expert witnesses, including drafting reports and affidavits
- Support senior attorneys during trial preparation and serve as second chair during trial proceedings
- Attend occasional after-hours trainings or seminars
Required Qualifications:
- 5 years of experience as an attorney
- 3–5 years of litigation experience
- Minimum 2 years of experience in personal injury law
- Licensed and in good standing with either the Kentucky or Indiana State Bar (both preferred)
- Excellent communication and client service skills
- Ability to work independently while collaborating closely with the firm’s owner
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Passionate, resourceful, and results-driven personality
