Job Overview
PenTeleData, a leading provider of data transport services, is seeking a skilled Sales Engineer to join their team. As a Sales Engineer, you will be responsible for serving as the technical lead for fiber customers, interacting with clients on a daily basis, and collaborating with the PenTeleData Sales and Pre-Sales teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the post-sales technical liaison for fiber customers
- Interact daily with customers on configurations and service implementation
- Interface with the PenTeleData Sales and Pre-Sales teams
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- An Associate's degree in Computer Science or a related field
- A minimum of 3 years' experience in a related field
- Established residency in Pennsylvania
- A valid PA driver's license and good driving record
Technical Requirements
The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of:
- TCP/IP protocols, subnetting, and IPv6
- IP routing (static and BGP)
- HFC network operations from the data side
- Cisco CLI languages (IOS, XE, XR) and WebUIs (ASDM, CCP)
- DHCP and its functionality
