The Community Relations Coordinator will be responsible for working closely in the local communities associated within our Northern Lancaster, Newberry and Duncannon service footprint and collaborating with our internal teams to help ensure Blue Ridge remains entrenched throughout the areas we serve.
The competitive landscape is ever changing throughout our service areas therefore, it is imperative that this agent have the ability to build rapport and strong relationships with local community leaders, business owners and other organizations. This will include traveling within our service footprint, along with working evenings and weekends as needed.
Responsibilities Include:
- Building rapport and relationships with local community leaders, business owners and other various organizations
- Assisting with the coordination, development and execution of local projects and event; this will include planning, communication, documentation, event summaries and expense reporting
- Assisting with the evaluation of local marketing requests and events to determine if Blue Ridge should participate to promote our products, services and band awareness; this could include local home shows, fairs, parades and other community events
- Maintaining and coordinating collateral, advertisements and marketing materials as needed
- Establishing a strong awareness of market conditions which includes collecting and managing competitive intelligence and informing the marketing team of competitive offers
- Assisting with identifying promotioal opportunites for residential and commerical customers and suggesting oppotunities to the marketing team of for consideration.
- Traveling for marketing initiatives within our service footprint as needed
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- College degree or demonstrated related work experience preferred
- Established residency in Pennsylvania
- Valid PA Driver's License and good driving record
- Flexible availability to work and travel as needed within our service footprint to include evenings and weekends
- Charismatic, team player that is motivated to succeed
- Community minded with an understanding of our company's mission and vision
- Exceptional Organizational Skills; strong attention to detail
- Exceptional Documentation Skills
- Excellent Computer Skills; proficiency using Microsoft Office programs, Outlook Email and Adobe Editor
- Strong Critical Thinking Skills
- Ability to develop and present solutions to achieve project objectives
- Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment
- Ability to collaborate effectively and professionally with multiple business units (internal and external)
- Ability to anticipate potential issues that may impede the completion of projects
