Salary: $5,376.72 – $7,337.03 per month (Depends on experience and licensure/certifications.)Hiring Salary: $5,376.72 – $6,529.93 per month (Depends on experience and licensure/certifications.)Benefits include: Subsidized medical insurance for the employee. Pend Oreille County offers a wide range of optional benefits, we are sure that there is a plan to suit your needs.BASIC FUNCTIONS: Provide professional behavioral health services to consumers of this Agency. Services include, but are not limited to, outpatient individual, group and family therapy, crisis services and case management. Provides Involuntary Treatment Act services upon designation as a Designated Crisis Responder. Works cooperatively and effectively with the public and other employees.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Ethical Standards & Compliance: Adhere to ethical and legal standards for mental health practice.Maintain confidentiality, respect clients, and uphold professional boundaries.Credentialing & Training: Maintain required professional credentials.Complete state-mandated training within required timeframes.Laws & Policies: Follow State of Washington and Federal laws.Comply with agency and county policies and interagency agreements.Clinical Practice & Education: Provide individual, family, and group counseling, including consumer-driven and culturally sensitive services.Maintain expertise in DSM-5, psychiatric disorders, psychotropic medications, and evidence-based practices.Documentation & Coordination: Maintain client records per legal and policy requirements.Conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and collaborate with other providers.Teamwork & Supervision: Actively participate in staff meetings and foster positive relationships with colleagues.Attend regular supervision and provide supervision for trainees as needed.Community Engagement: Participate in community networking and treatment team meetings.Attend and support community meetings as approved.Crisis Response: Provide timely and appropriate crisis intervention and referrals.Deliver Designated Crisis Responder (DCR) services as required.Additional Responsibilities: Perform other duties as assigned by the Director or designee.QUALIFICATIONS: Education: Master’s degree in counseling, social work, or related field from an accredited institution.Credentials: Must meet Washington State's definition of a Mental Health Professional.Apply for State-issued counseling credentials within 30 days.Possess or apply for a National Provider Identification (NPI) number within 60 days.Skills & Experience: Demonstrate knowledge in treating psychiatric and substance use disorders.Apply clinical judgment, ethics, and accountability in treatment plans.Licenses & Clearances: Valid driver’s license.Pass background and driving record checks.Not excluded from Federal healthcare programs (Medicare/Medicaid).Other Requirements: Ability to handle stress, crisis situations, and work in diverse settings.WORKING CONDITIONS: Work in various settings including community spaces, homes, schools, and correctional facilities.Exposure to potential risks such as violent behaviors and contagious diseases.Routine travel within the county and region, including after-hours crisis services.Requires physical activity such as sitting, standing, walking, and lifting up to 30 pounds.
