General Definition of Work
Ensure children's safety; manage children's behavior and act as a positive role model.? Mentor constructive participation in summer day camp activities with children, ages 5 to 12. Camp will be held at South Topsail Elementary School.

Essential Functions
- Arriving at camp on time each day, ready and prepared to perform all camp staff functions and responsibilities.
- Assist Summer Day Camp Director and Assistant Director with Summer Day Camp programs by :
Planning, organizing, and overseeing camper activities.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education & Experience
Applicants must be at least 18 years of age, works well with children, possess good verbal communication skills, and be reliable. Certification in CPR and First Aid is preferred. CPR / First Aid Training will be available prior to camp start date if needed.
Valid driver's license in the State of North Carolina.
This position is a safety sensitive position and subject to random substance abuse testing in accordance with the Pender County Personnel Policy and Risk Policy.
Physical Requirements
This work requires the occasional exertion of up to 25 pounds of force; work regularly requires speaking or hearing and using hands to finger, handle or feel, frequently requires sitting and occasionally requires standing, walking, climbing or balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching or crawling, reaching with hands and arms, pushing or pulling, lifting and repetitive motions; work has standard vision requirements; vocal communication is required for expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word; hearing is required to perceive information at normal spoken word levels; work requires preparing and analyzing written or computer data and observing general surroundings and activities; work has no exposure to environmental conditions; work is generally in a moderately noisy location (e.g. parks).

Camp will operate from 7 : 30am-6 : 00pm Monday-Friday while the structured part of camp will be from 9 : 00am-4 : 00pm. If selected for the job, will it be an issue to either open or close when needed?
