Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced dental clinic. Duties
- Assist the dentist during various procedures, including four-handed dentistry techniques.
- Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are available.
- Take and develop dental X-rays while adhering to safety protocols.
- Maintain patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
- Utilize dental software such as Dentrix, Epic, or Eaglesoft for scheduling and record management.
- Operate 3D scanners as needed for imaging and treatment planning.
- Support pediatric dentistry procedures with a focus on creating a comfortable environment for young patients.
- Perform administrative tasks such as answering phones, scheduling appointments, and managing patient intake.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a dental clinic setting is preferred.
- Knowledge of four-handed dentistry practices is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality.
- Experience with pediatric dentistry is a plus.
- Proficiency in using 3D scanners and dental software (Dentrix, Epic, Eaglesoft) is advantageous.
- Understanding of medical terminology related to dentistry.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while maintaining professionalism at all times.
- Strong communication skills to interact positively with patients and staff.
