JOB DESCRIPTION
Clearance Level: Top Secret/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph
Skill Level(s): Subject Matter Expert
• provide in-depth Tier 2 through Tier 4 level support and problem resolution for technology products and applications.
• lead and perform engineering efforts in the areas of Windows and Linux servers, workstations, storage, and virtualization.
• coordinate engineering projects including performing technical risk assessment, de-conflict implementations, and resolve technical questions or conflicts.
• gather performance and utilization metrics from infrastructure components and proactively inform the Sponsor when thresholds are met.
• perform moderately complex Operations and Maintenance (O&M) activities with limited guidance.
• provide advice and guidance on the most practical technical approach to meeting user requirements.
• build and maintain desktop workstations and provide troubleshooting assistance and patching as needed.
• provide oversight and maintenance to Windows Group Policy.
• build and maintain Windows servers in an Amazon Web Service environment.
• deploy and maintain configuration standards in accordance with the Sponsor’s security posture.
• participate and brief at information systems architectural boards at the Group level.
• assist with project estimation, scheduling, and costing of cloud solutions.
• create system artifacts such as CONOPS, engineering guidance, and standards documentation.
• work in a 24 hour, 7 day (on-call rotation) a week environment providing in-depth Tier 2 and Tier 3 level support and problem resolution for technology products and applications.
• provide technical and strategic guidance to Sponsor personnel on the most appropriate cloud architecture to achieve a particular application’s goals.
• decompose customer requirements into technical solutions.
• include factors such as system requirements, system performance, and life cycle costs in requirements decomposition to determine the architectural impact of proposed changes.

The Candidate shall have the following required skills, certifications and demonstrated experience:
• performing administration, troubleshooting, patching, and support of virtual infrastructure.• working with vendors on system troubleshooting.
• analyzing existing systems and identifying necessary corrective actions and improvements.
• operating and maintaining Active Directory, Domain Naming System (DNS), Distributed File System (DFS), and Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP).
• operating and windows maintaining Windows Group Policy.
• supporting and maintaining accounts and account management expertise in a Windows environment.
• building and maintaining Windows servers in Amazon Web Services.
• authoring scripts with PowerShell, BASH, YAML, and Python.
• supporting and operations and maintenance of infrastructure environments.
• Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) and Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM).
• managing requirements using ServiceNow application.
• building and maintain Windows servers.
• building, deploying and maintaining virtual servers using VM Ware.
• Active Directory suite of tools to manage computer objects, security groups, and access.
• Active Directory Sites and Services to configure subnets using Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM) to install software on servers and workstations and for troubleshooting software and patch failures.
• deploying AWS services including S3, EC2, Elastic Load Balance (ELB), Auto Scaling Group (ASG), CloudWatch, and Simple Notification Service (SNS).
• configuring AWS services including S3, EC2, ELB, ASG, CloudWatch, and SNS.
• monitoring AWS services including S3, EC2, ELB, ASG, CloudWatch, and SNS.
• maintaining AWS services including S3, EC2, ELB, ASG, CloudWatch, and SNS.
• designing cloud infrastructure based on the functional or technical requirements of an application.
• implementing, operating and maintaining Microsoft Azure environment.
• forecasting cloud costs for proposed systems.
• supporting Docker or Kubernetes.
Highly Desired Skills
Skills and demonstrated experiences that are highly desired but not required to perform the work include:
• performing engineering, implementation, and troubleshooting of VMWare virtualization infrastructure• Hypervisor deployments
• configuration and management of storage pools
• configuration and management of virtual networks and servers and virtual workstations
• explaining protocols, technical procedures and processes clearly and accurately to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• creating and presenting system documentation briefings to review and approval boards
• Tier 1 through Tier 4 support, including both systems troubleshooting and incident tracking and management
• serving as an Engineering Lead,
• coordinating, scheduling, deconflicting, and resolving conflicts between IT engineering projects
• VMWare Horizon VDI
