PenFed is hiring a (Hybrid) Associate Vice President, Enterprise Transformation at our Tysons, Virginia location. The Associate Vice President (AVP) of Enterprise Transformation is responsible for driving enterprise-wide transformation initiatives, optimizing operational processes, and ensuring alignment between business and technical priorities. This role will oversee large-scale portfolio management, process improvement initiatives, and other strategies to enhance organizational efficiency, scalability, and compliance. The AVP will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver measurable business impact, ensuring that operational frameworks support both growth and long-term sustainability.

- Identify and lead enterprise-wide transformation initiatives to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and accelerate delivery.
- Architect and implement scalable operational models integrating compliance, risk management, and process optimization strategies.
- Develop and manage portfolio governance frameworks to enhance decision-making, prioritization, and resource allocation.
- Drive continuous process improvement initiatives, reducing rework costs, optimizing workflows, and increasing operational speed.
- Ensure new initiatives and projects align with business goals and regulatory requirements.
- Familiarize themselves with the enterprise risk management frameworks to identify, assess, and mitigate operational risks.
- Develop and enforce governance structures to standardize program management, reporting, measures of effectiveness and other performance metrics.
- Collaborate with technical teams, and business units to ensure seamless alignment of enterprise transformation efforts.
- Manage senior stakeholder relationships, providing C-suite insights and ensuring buy-in for transformation initiatives.
- Act as a bridge between technical and business teams, facilitating clear communication and smooth implementation of digital and operational transformation efforts.
- Scale operations by developing high-performing teams and implementing systematic process improvements.
- Build and mentor cross-functional teams, fostering a culture of continuous learning, innovation, and operational excellence.
- Establish KPIs and performance metrics to track progress, ensuring accountability and continuous optimization of operational strategies.
Qualifications
Equivalent combination of education and experience is considered.
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, Operations Management, Data Analytics, or a related field.
- Twelve (12) years of experience in enterprise transformation, operations management, portfolio governance, and process improvement.
- Five (5) years of related experience in a Director level role
- Proven track record of scaling operations, reducing costs, and increasing efficiency in a high-growth or complex organizational environment.
- Strong experience in federal financial management, compliance frameworks, and enterprise-wide risk management.
- PMP certification with a deep understanding of portfolio and program management best practices.
- Strategic Thinking: Ability to drive high-level organizational change while ensuring operational alignment.
- Operational Optimization: Expertise in process reengineering, risk reduction, and cost-saving initiatives.
- Stakeholder Management: Strong ability to engage, communicate, and collaborate with C-level executives and cross-functional teams.
- Leadership & Team Building: Proven track record of mentoring and developing high-performing teams.
- Compliance & Risk Management: Strong understanding of federal financial management, audit readiness, and regulatory compliance.
- Agile & Digital Transformation: Experience in leveraging emerging technologies to drive enterprise-wide improvements.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office products and other graphics or presentation software.
- Master's degree in business, Finance, or a related field.
- Experience in consulting, financial services, or federal program management.
- Expertise in DevSecOps, Agile methodologies, and enterprise-wide framework implementation.
