Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Dishwasher to join our team in a fast-paced food service environment. The Dishwasher plays a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards in our kitchen and dining areas. This position is essential for supporting our catering, banquet, and restaurant operations, ensuring that all dishes, utensils, and equipment are cleaned and sanitized promptly to facilitate smooth food handling and service.
Responsibilities
- Clean and sanitize all dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, and pans using commercial dishwashing equipment.
- Maintain cleanliness of the dishwashing area and ensure that all equipment is in good working condition.
- Assist with the organization of kitchen supplies and help with food prep as needed.
- Support the catering and banquet teams by ensuring timely cleaning of items used during events.
- Buss tables after meals to collect used dishes and utensils for washing.
- Follow all safety and sanitation policies to ensure a safe working environment.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient workflow during busy service periods.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a food service or hospitality environment is preferred but not required.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong commitment to cleanliness and sanitation practices in food handling.
- Ability to lift heavy items (up to 50 pounds) and stand for extended periods.
- Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards helping others.
- Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
