Responsibilities:
- Assist in meal preparation and cooking under the supervision of the kitchen staff
- Set up dining areas, including tables, chairs, and utensils
- Serve meals to residents or patients according to dietary restrictions and portion sizes
- Clear tables and clean dining areas after meals
- Wash dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment
- Follow proper food handling and sanitation procedures to maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment
- Assist with inventory management and restocking of supplies
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not required
- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
- Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift heavy objects
- Excellent communication skills to interact with residents or patients in a friendly and professional manner
