Job Description
Do you love to swim?! Pengu Swim School may be the place for you! Pengu Swim School is looking for active, energetic, and highly accountable people to fill our Life Guard position. The position is available in multiple locations including Houston-Central, Katy (Cinco Ranch), Sugar Land (Riverstone), and our newest location, Cypress (Towne Lake). The Life Guard position is responsible for maintaining the safety of children ages 4 month to 12 years during swim lessons.
Responsibilities
-Supervises and observes swimmers through scanning in designated zone to ensure safety during instruction and open swim times.
-General facility cleaning including cleaning of the pool deck, pool vacuuming, cleaning the dressing rooms, etc.
-Assists with maintaining pool quality and safety by testing chemicals and adding chemicals if instructed
-Attends all required staff meetings and trainings
-Communicates in an appropriate manner with all colleagues, management and customers
-Maintain up to date certification
Qualifications
-CPR/Life Guard Certified through Red Cross
-Experience working with children
-Ability to communicate with colleagues, management and customers in a courteous manner
-Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends and some holidays
-Job requires standing for periods of time
