What are the responsibilities and job description for the Digital Marketing and WooCommerce Manager position at Penguin Chillers?
Job Posting: Digital Marketing and Web Manager
Location: Knoxville, TN – Full-time, In-Office Position
Company: Penguin Chillers
Type: Full-Time, Monday through Friday
About Us:
Penguin Chillers is a family-owned manufacturing business with a tight-knit team of 30-40 employees. For years, we’ve grown through word-of-mouth, building a strong reputation for quality. Now, we’re ready to take the next step by boosting our online presence and driving intentional growth. We’re looking for a creative, self-motivated individual to join us as our Digital Marketing and WooCommerce Manager to help shape our digital future.
What You’ll Do:
This is a dynamic, hands-on role where you’ll manage our online platforms and marketing efforts to connect with customers and grow our business. You’ll work closely with our team in-house, taking ownership of a variety of tasks, including:
- Website Management: Keep our WooCommerce-based website updated and running smoothly, from product listings to troubleshooting. You’ll also help build new WooCommerce sites for our upcoming spin-off businesses (including logo design for one).
- Content Creation: Shoot and edit product photography as needed, and create engaging how-to videos in our in-house video area to boost customer confidence and sales.
- Digital Marketing: Run Google Ads or similar campaigns to drive traffic (without cannibalizing our natural traffic), and apply SEO know-how to keep us visible online.
- Social Media: Design budget-friendly content (or source it via platforms like Fiverr) and engage with customers, redirecting inquiries to our email or phone support team.
- eBay Overhaul: Refresh our outdated eBay listings to match our website’s branding, and revive forgotten listings to maximize traffic and sales.
- Big-Picture Thinking: Work independently to prioritize tasks and tackle the intricate details that lead to our growth goals, collaborating with management as needed.
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience with WordPress and WooCommerce—you’ll be building and managing our sites from the ground up.
- Skills in digital marketing, including Google Ads, SEO, and social media management.
- A creative eye for photography, video, and content design (or the ability to navigate outsourcing tools like Fiverr).
- Comfort with eBay or similar platforms and a knack for optimizing online listings.
- A self-starter who thrives with minimal oversight and can juggle multiple projects.
- Strong communication skills to coordinate with our close-knit office team.
- In-office presence—this role requires you to work from our Knoxville office (no remote or hybrid options).
Bonus Points:
- Experience with logo design or branding for small businesses.
- A passion for helping a family-run company grow its online footprint.
Why Join Us?
You’ll be a key player in a growing family business, with the freedom to shape our digital strategy and see the direct impact of your work. We’re a collaborative team that values initiative and creativity, and we’re excited to welcome someone who’s ready to roll up their sleeves and help us reach new heights. We offer paid time off, paid holidays, medical, dental, and vision insurance, plus a 401K plan.
