Ten Speed Press seeks a creative and driven Publicity Manager to work on the newly launched imprint Ten Speed Young Readers. In addition to having a passion for children’s literature, candidates should have experience working in children’s publishing and an established network of media contacts. Candidates will be responsible for executing publicity campaigns for a wide range of titles, including picture/board books, middle grade titles, and graphic novels. This includes creating press materials, securing national media, coordinating author tours, attending conventions, and working collaboratively across departments. The ideal candidate should be self-motivated and highly organized.

Specific responsibilities include:
- Develops and executes publicity campaigns for 8-10 titles per season across the imprint, including media outreach and publicity mailings.
- Manages publicity budgets for assigned titles, ensuring that resources are allocated effectively to maximize campaign impact.
- Plans and executes author tours which may require travel to book festivals, cons, and conventions to support author appearances.
- Creates publicity materials including press releases and author itineraries for tours.
- Collaborates with internal teams.
- Leads and represents campaigns in meetings with internal stakeholders, authors, agents, and external partners.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in children’s book publicity
- Highly organized with exceptional communication skills and ability to handle multiple projects
- Established contacts in the children’s media space
- Experience booking author events and multi-city tours
- Self-starter who can develop and execute effective publicity campaigns independently
- Proven ability to manage budgets and allocate resources effectively across campaigns
- Creative problem solver with a strong attention to detail and a results-oriented mindset
- Ability to travel within the United States at least 4x per year
