Overview
Penguin Solutions is seeking a Internal Communications Senior Manager who can execute high-impact employee communications, strategies, and campaigns that inform and engage our global team. This individual will implement programs and tactics across a wide variety of communications channels such as The Igloo, Penguin Solutions intranet, all-employee meetings, executive communications, events (both virtual and in-person), and digital communications that reach and engage employees across our business segments. The ideal candidate will be adept at managing, creating, and analyzing internal communications with the objective of informing and boosting pride amongst our employee base. This person will work cross functionally to identify and develop integrated communications, working in partnership with HR, business segment executives, and other organizational leaders. This is an opportunity to establish communications infrastructure and processes that will scale with Penguin Solutions' ongoing growth. The Senior Internal Communications Manager will report directly to the VP of Marketing and Communications.
Responsibilities
Develop a comprehensive internal communication strategy and practice that drives employee engagement and meaningful connection to the company's strategyServe as a trusted communications partner and advisor to senior executives and leaders throughout the company, helping them to engage with employees and share timely, relevant business informationManage editorial cadence of internal communications programming, driving employee awareness and support of key programs and initiatives (e.g. Company Culture / Values, IED, ESG)Research, write, edit, and publish communications with outstanding attention to detail and qualityLeverage video and other communication tools to enhance employee engagementSupport organizational announcements and strategy rollouts to employeesMonitor and manage relevant topics and trends (both in the market and within the company) that could impact our employees and our cultureDevelop proven methodologies and procedures to guide consistent and quality communications across all teams, businesses, and geographiesAnalyze the effectiveness of internal communication programs and develop recommendations to continually improve the quality and effectiveness of employee communicationsSupport company-wide business transformation and change management initiativesQualifications
Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Public Relations, English, Communications or related discipline10 years professional experience in high profile corporate communications, employee communications and / or public relations roles supporting globally branded organizationsDemonstrated and extensive experience writing and editing for print, multi-media formats, and digital social formatsDemonstrated expertise when communicating to and working with senior executives to provide strategic counsel, clearly articulate ideas, successfully manage differing points of view and build positive relationships and rapportTechnically savvy : Experience using technology that supports building, planning, and executing communications in various formats, such as videoProficient in developing high-quality PowerPoint presentations, including advanced design and storytelling capabilitiesCollaborative and a team builder, with strong interpersonal and relationship building skillsDetail oriented to ensure the high quality of communicationsOutstanding writing, editing, and communication skillsDemonstrated effectiveness using data to communicate and inform decisionsDemonstrated ability to meet deadlines and juggle multiple timelines at once
Location
This is a hybrid role at our Milpitas, California office.
Compensation & Benefits
The base pay range that the Company reasonably expects to pay for this position in Milpitas, California is $150,000 - $180,000; the pay ultimately offered may vary based on business considerations, including job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and education. The position is bonus-eligible, and there are medical, dental, and vision benefits available. There is a 401k saving plan and other benefits, such as Paid Time Off, Life Insurance, and an Employee Assistance Plan.
