Responsibilities:
- Safely transport patients to and from medical appointments
- Provide excellent customer service to your residents and their families.
- Assist patients with getting in and out of the vehicle, and with any necessary equipment.
- Keep accurate records of patient pick-up and drop-off times.
- Maintain cleanliness and safety of the vehicle.
Educational Requirements and Qualifications:
- Highschool diploma or GED equivalency
- Minimum of 3 years driving experience operating similar vehicles in the US.
- License type and endorsements must be appropriate for the vehicle they are operating.
- License must not be suspended or revoked.
- Foreign licenses are unacceptable.
- Must pass a pre-employment driving record check and maintain an excellent driver's record for DMV records review.
- Must meet the requirements for Penick Village's insurance carrier for liability coverage.
- Ability to successfully train and operate 14-passenger vehicles, to include wheelchair tie down.
- Ability to evaluate and respond to driving situations including, but not limited to, inclement weather conditions, road construction, abrupt stops, and heavy traffic flow.
- Ability to pass CPR and First Aid training.
- Computer and keyboarding skills.
This normal work hours for this position are Monday-Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Occasional overtime and weekend may be required
