Service Writer/Parts Person

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Service Writer/ Parts Person to join our Fleet / RV repair team. The ideal candidate will serve as a vital link between our customers and service technicians, ensuring that all service needs are accurately communicated and addressed. Parts are located, ordered and billed on the customers repair order. This role requires strong customer service skills, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to manage service requests efficiently.

Duties

• Greet customers promptly and professionally, providing exceptional customer service throughout their visit.
• Accurately document customer concerns and vehicle issues for the service technicians.
• Schedule service appointments and manage the workflow of the service department.
• Communicate with customers regarding recommended services, repairs, and maintenance options.
• Provide estimates for services such as alignments, suspensions, transmissions, tire services, and other mechanical repairs.
• Collaborate with service technicians to ensure timely completion of repairs and services.
• Locate parts needed to do repair and get them ordered.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace to enhance customer experience.
• Follow up with customers post-service to ensure satisfaction and address any further needs.
• Keep parts area clean, organized and restocked.

Requirements

• Previous experience in customer service, parts specialist or as a Service Writer is preferred.
• Strong mechanical knowledge related to automotive systems and components.
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members.
• Experience in sales within an automotive environment is a plus.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks efficiently.
• Familiarity with repair and Maintenace operations is advantageous but not mandatory.
• A positive attitude and a willingness to learn about new technologies and services in the automotive industry.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $27.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.00 per week
