Qualifications
Unless you have been fingerprinted in a school district within the last two years, you will be required to have fingerprinting done. The Olympic ESD 114 (360.478.6881) in Bremerton offers digital live-scan fingerprinting services by appointment for a fee of $83.00.
Student Teacher/Intern Application Steps
It is the intent of the Peninsula School District to provide the students with a rigorous, authentic, and high-quality classroom experience. To that end, we require all applicants to be enrolled in a State Board of Education-approved college/university education program, with field supervisors provided by the college/university. The college/university must also have a current contract with the Peninsula School District.
Please note: Requests for a placement with a specific staff member (teacher, counselor, etc) or school will not be accepted.
To be considered as a practicum student, student teacher, or intern, we require that you upload all of the required attachments. In support of your application, provide at least two current recommendations from individuals familiar with your work with school-aged children.
