Peddler Scale Operator

Penmac Staffing is currently hiring a Peddler Scale Operator for a local Scrap Yard. The candidate must be reliable and very detail oriented. This position will be Monday-Friday from 7:30 am to 4:30 pm. The average pay will start out at $17 pr hour depending on experience.

Responsibilities

• Must be able to accurately identify various non-ferrous metals and determine the commodity classification of those metals. This knowledge is critical for the correct purchasing of incoming non-ferrous metals.
• Greet and interact with customers, bringing in various non-ferrous metals.
• Safely operate forklift to unload incoming commodities for purchase and putting those commodities in corresponding bins for packaging and shipping.

Requirements

• Must possess computer skills
• Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen
• The ability to learn the company’s database
• Have knowledge of current scrap metal commodities
• Must have experience in non-ferrous metal identification, forklift operation,
• Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time and work in all weather conditions
