Cost and Bidding Tech

Penmac Staffing is currently seeking a Cost and Bidding Technician for a local defense and aerospace company. The ideal candidate must be knowledgeable in Excel and know how to enter the data as well as create spreadsheets. The candidate must have 1-2 years of experience in this field. This position is Monday-Thursday from 6 am to 4:30 pm with overtime as needed. The average payrate will start at $18 per hour depending on experience.

Duties:

• Incorporate new technologies, training and methodologies for employees to provide solutions for simple and complex applications
• Working with a team in helping to prepare cost estimates for new business and existing business
• Meeting project needs that may require utilization of drawings, blueprints and a general knowledge of manufacturing
• Taking a detailed analysis of project needs in labor performance, materials pricing, and other production requirements

Requirements:

• Must be proficient in Excel, Word, and Outlook
• Must have good communication skills as well as an aptitude for excelling within the position
• Must be self-motivated, self-starter, and able to accept direction and follow through with little supervision
• Able to interact with outside suppliers, other employees within the bidding scope as well as management
