The EA substitute provides assistance to students with their learning lesson plans. The candidate may also work on an individual basis with students requiring close supervision and special assistance. The candidate provides support, explanations, re-teaching, and discipline to ensure success for all students.
Substitute Educational Assistants will work under the supervision of a professional service provider (Special Education Teacher) to directly or indirectly assist and support in the provision of services to students with disabilities. The role and assignments of an Educational Assistant (EA) are not defined by a particular student, setting or program, but rather by students' needs as determined by the IEP. The EA may work on an individual basis with students requiring close supervision and special assistance.

- Potential candidates must have either an A.A. Degree or complete equivalent testing.
- Starting pay is based on years of experience and education.
