We are currently seeking a Chemical Manufacturing Plant Order Filler to join our team of talented employees!
Position Overview:
This is a position with the goal of developing skills to advance as a Lead Order Filler. The Order Filler is responsible for shipping finished goods and receiving of some bulk raw materials. The Order Filler is also responsible for interfacing with the Engineering Department, as well as Customer Service, Planning, Logistics, Operations, and the Quality Department. The Order Filler must assure that their assigned areas conform to the company quality system procedures as documented.
Job Responsibilities:
- Directly responsible for loading, unloading and logistics, as required, to ensure products conform to customer requirements and meet the customer’s needs.
- Create and attach Hazardous Materials labels to containers or mark them with identifying information.
- Read pick list and BOL or receive oral instructions to determine work assignments or material or equipment needs.
- Record numbers of units handled or moved, using daily production sheets or pick lists.
- Wash out cargo containers or storage areas according to Standard Operating Procedures for specified chemicals.
- Pack containers and re-pack damaged containers.
- Other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.
Job Requirements:
- Experience working in a chemical manufacturing environment is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language.
- Strong mechanical aptitude.
- Attention to detail and ability to multi-task is required.
- Requires the understanding of and compliance with all safe work practices.
- Strong knowledge of environmental hazards is desirable.
- Develops and maintains a team-player working relationship with employees.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Ability to perform basic math calculations.
- High level of manufacturing plant knowledge, skill and experience.
- Five or more years of manufacturing plant experience.
Physical Requirements:
- This position will require a great deal of physical demand such as lifting/pushing, climbing and walking in elevated or confined spaces.
- Work inside and outside under varying environmental conditions.
- Meets the physical requirements for the position, including but not limited to bending, kneeling, squatting, climbing ladders and stairs, balancing, stooping, crouching, crawling, reaching, standing/walking for long periods of time, pushing, pulling, grasping, working at elevated heights, and heavy lifting.
- Must be able to navigate warehouse and climb ladders.
