WHAT YOU WILL DO:
Material Handler is responsible to use a forklift to supply material to manufacturing departments, pull product from manufacturing processes, Load and unload trucks as needed and to transact all material movement in our ERP system
- To supply all materials to all manufacturing departments
- Pull finished material from machines and transact all product in ERP system from one process to the next
- Load and/or unload any trucks as needed
- Maintain clean work area within company 6-S standards. This includes running the floor scrubber in all main aisles of the facility
- Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
- Follow all safety requirements to avoid injury to self and fellow employees
- Create and maintain a safe work environment; repair and/or report non-conformances to company safety policies and guidelines
- Perform the necessary safety requirements to avoid injury to self and fellow employees
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
Physical Demands:
- 70% of the time sitting
- will require walking and standing as well for 10 hr. shift
- Lifting, pushing, or pulling of up to 30 lbs. regularly
- Attention to detail is required
Education and Experience Required:
- 1 yr. forklift experience preferred
- Ability to read part routers and understand their process
- Basic computer skills; email, Microsoft Office; Word, Excel
- ERP (JDE) experience is preferred
Position Type/Expectations of Working Hours:
- Hourly position
- Monday through Friday, minimum 8 working hours daily
- Occasional Saturday when necessary
