WE LOVE OUR WORK.
- Ensure HR visibility by attending respective business unit meetings and property events.
- Consult with management providing guidance with day to day performance management (coaching, counseling, disciplinary actions, performance appraisals, etc.).
- Resolve employee relations issues. Conduct effective and objective investigations in regards to complaints, grievances, etc. Gather and compile information and review with the Human Resources Manager and Vice President of Human Resources to determine appropriate course of action.
- Manage round tables, all team member meetings, and provide analysis and appropriate recommendations to departments and senior leaders.
- Provide administrative support and update records for any and all employee relations and training & development documents and transactions including appraisals, performance documentation, separation paperwork, training rosters, and training records and calendars.
- Deliver interactive training programs for team member and management development; maintain the Training Room, including materials and refreshments.
- Create and maintain team member communication such as weekly team member newletter, pre-shift resource information, CASTnet TV, and bulletin boards.
- Develop and create training materials and activities including manuals, handouts, PowerPoints, blended learning materials, and audio/visual training aids.
- Support and assist other Human Resources functional areas. This position is required to be cross-trained in all functional areas to provide support as needed.

- Minimum 2 years of experience in a employee relations and/or training function is required, including: conflict resolution, organizational skills, and facilitation skills.
- Associate Degree with an HR or Business emphasis required, Bachelor’s degree preferred; or the equivalent of education and experience.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.
- Must be able to coordinate multiple priorities simultaneously and have the ability to set and meet aggressive deadlines.
- Must have excellent interpersonal skills, a professional appearance, and be a team player.
- Must have the ability to read, write, and speak English.
- Must have the ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from guests, regulatory agencies, and community members.
- Must have the ability to read and interpret documents, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Must have the ability to present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, employees, and guests. - intermediate computer knowledge; must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications; HRiS - UltiPro and Wingspan experience preferred.
- Must qualify for a license with the Pennsylvania State Racing Commission and meet any credentialing requirements of the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board.
