- Operates safely and in compliance with all established HSSE policies and procedures.
- Own and manage all IT related activities and functions focusing on delivering value to business needs.
- Lead IT application and technology implementation via 3rd party vendors across companies by partnering with business leadership to understand, define and implement short and long-term objectives and ensure alignment with IT service delivery principles.
- Assist IT Director to partner with contracted vendors to plan, track and manage capital and expenses for IT related activities. Reviews and approves IT related expenses, participates in budget decisions and manages expenses against budget.
- Partner with vendors providing applicable technology services.
- Works closely with business representatives and 3rd party vendors to ensure scope and expectations are clearly defined, resources are allocated appropriately to initiatives, commitments are met and problems are resolved.
- Provides hands-on call support, application support and project management.
- Provides planning, delivery and status reporting on application projects ensuring on-time quality solutions within budget.
- Reviews and approves changes to the IT applications environment, ensuring changes do not impact critical business functions.
- Defines, documents, and implements IT work efficiencies by staying abreast of competitive offerings and industry best practices, measurements and standards, and relying on the Continuous Improvement Process engaging and empowering the team to make ongoing improvements to operations and processes.
- Communicates IT projects, activities and impact to the Business ensuring they are informed about changes.
- Proactively manages the team's activities, approves timecards and leave requests.
- Actively involved with recruiting, retention, mentoring and training, performance management, appraisals and wage recommendations.
- Maintains system protocols by writing and updating procedures.
- Available for a rotating after hours work schedule.
- Completes all other duties as assigned.
