Position: Director of Goalkeeping (full-time)
Position Summary:
This position will oversee the day-to-day operations of our Goalkeeping department. This position will report directly to our Technical Director.

Technical Skills, Qualifications, & Requirements:
- USSF A/B License (or international equivalent).
- Minimum of 5 years of goalkeeper specific coaching experience, within a national level club (ECNL, MLS Next, DA) or at the collegiate level.
- Preferred: 3 years experience within a Director/leadership role.
- Professional/Collegiate goalkeeping playing background preferred.
- Track record of developing collegiate/professional goalkeepers.
- In-depth knowledge of the college recruitment and placement process.
- A passion for youth development, and ability to work as part of a high-functioning team.
- Ability to work in a structure with a defined style-of-play, curriculum, and player development philosophy.
- In-depth knowledge of domestic and international youth development trends, systems, and best practices.
- An understanding of the regional and national soccer landscape.
- On-field: *6 weekly training sessions plus weekend games & events (managing, coaching & observations).
- Off-field: *20 /- hours administrative duties/program management.
Administrative Skills, Qualifications, & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree preferred, but not required (preferred areas of study: Sports Management, Business Administration, Sports Science).
- Technology: high proficiency with sports technology platforms (Sports Session Planner, Veo, Sports Analytic Platforms, Playmetrics, and Google products).

Essential Functions:
Director of Goalkeeping
- Technical Leadership: Provide technical leadership to all goalkeeping staff and goalkeepers across all levels of the organization (WPSL, NPSL, ECNL, ECNL-RL, USYS).
- Work closely with the Technical Leadership team to develop a deep understanding of the club’s game model and the goalkeeper’s role within it.
- Team Based Travel Goalkeeper Training: Oversee all aspects including but not limited to scheduling, staff assignments, staff management, & curriculum.
- Seasonal Competition Plan: Manage the Goalkeeping department staff to ensure that the appropriate staffing coverage is provided for league play, national events, playoffs, tournaments, and showcases.
- Evaluations/Feedback: Direct a club-wide goalkeeper evaluation/feedback process for all levels (For select players manage Individual Performance Plans).
- Fusion Goalkeeper Academy: Oversee all aspects of this paid supplementary program, including but not limited to scheduling, marketing, staff assignments, staff management, & curriculum.
- Fusion Goalkeeper ID Clinics: Oversee all aspects of ID clinics for internal (Rec & Travel) and external players.
- Team Camps: Provide GK specific training at annual team camps.
- Summer Camps: Direct & Coach at 4 goalkeeper specific summer camps.
- Schools Out Clinics: Direct & Coach at 4 goalkeeper specific schools out camps.
- Coach Education/Curriculum: Assist the Technical Director to run seasonal coach education sessions/seminars. Maintain, update, and implement the club mandated curriculum.
- Technical Meetings: Attend all weekly/bi-monthly Technical Meetings for all full-time zone/level Directors.
- Coach Evaluation & Mentorship: Assist the Technical Director with coach recruitment, assessment, mentorship, and team assignment.
- Tryouts: Lead goalkeeping specific talent ID and the clubs annual tryouts.
- Elite Performance Program: Support the EPP Director with GK support and staffing.
- Monthly Technical Report: Submit a monthly report to the Executive Director & Technical Director.
- Miscellaneous tasks as assigned by the Executive Director, Technical Director, and Board of Directors.
- Example Event Attendance (per Technical Director):
- National Events: Attend *6 ECNL national events.
- National Playoffs: Attend the National Playoffs & National Championships.
- ECNL Fixtures: Attend games as assigned by the Technical Director
- ECNL-RL Fixtures: Attend games as assigned by the Technical Director
- Fusion Winter Showcase Series: Attend the boys & girls events.
- Weekly Training: *6 weekly GK specific training sessions (travel/academy).
- EPP: Attend Elite Performance Program events as assigned by the Technical Director.
