DESCRIPTION:
THE MAMMOGRAPHY TECHNOLOGIST SUPPORTS THE BREAST CENTER BY PERFORMING MAMMOGRAMS, REPORTS TO THE MANAGER OF WOMEN’S IMAGING AND WORKS CLOSELY UNDER THE DIRECTION OF THE RADIOLOGIST. THE MAMMOGRAPHY TECHNOLOGIST PERFORMS MAMMOGRAPHY EXAMS AND BREAST PROCEDURES AND FOLLOWS ALARA GUIDELINES. THE TECHNOLOGIST INFORMS THE PATIENTS OF THE IMPORTANCE OF BREAST CANCER AWARENESS.
QUALIFICATIONS:
MUST BE REGISTERED BY THE ARRT IN RADIOLOGY. ALSO REGISTERED BY ARRT IN MAMMOGRAPHY WITHIN ONE YEAR OF PERFORMING MAMMOGRAMS
