Job Description
Job Responsibilities
- Perform as a lead and/or member of Client Care’s service teams whose goal is to provide first- and second-level support for client-facing services.
- Lead Client Care’s service communications team by coordinating with service owners/managers to create communication strategies and produce and deliver high-quality client-facing communications through multiple vehicles about planned maintenance and service disruptions.
- Act as a single point of contact to clients for requests and incidents, manage internal escalation, vendor management, and customer communications.
- Provide expert-level consultation and support to the campus community.
- Diagnose and resolve complex technical problems with computing hardware, software, and network services.
- Collaborate with ISC service providers to ensure high-quality service delivery and support.
- Staff the service desk as needed, fulfilling shifts associated with intake, ticket processing, student support, and identity and access management support.
- Participate in various project and campus technology teams and occasionally lead projects and groups.
- Act as project support and manage client communications on major cross-organizational projects.
- Work with other ISC units and local support providers to implement and support computing standards.
- Document supported technologies and communicate with clients regarding computing standards, policies, and support practices.
- Maintain expert knowledge of Penn's supported computing technologies. Pursue and attend professional development opportunities to improve interpersonal and technical skills.
- Perform additional duties as assigned
- Bachelor of Science and 2 to 3 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
- Ability to deliver strong customer service and excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written.
- Experience and demonstrated ability to prepare and deliver technical materials and documentation clearly to technical and non-technical audiences is required.
- Experience providing computing support to various users and supporting various technologies and platforms.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive materials.
- Experience working on a Help/Service Desk is preferred.
- Experience working in a higher education setting is preferred.
