The Marketing Manager reports to the Director of Marketing & Communications and is responsible for a variety of tasks that allow for the successful completion of planned marketing, advancement, and public relations programs. This role will be instrumental in coordinating various internal and external communications, and creating branded materials, graphics, and videos. The Marketing Manager will also work with our media firms to facilitate public relations opportunities that arise, and interface with other departments to support their communications needs and develop accompanying marketing materials. This role is fast paced with opportunities for growth and development.
Specific Duties & Responsibilities:
- Design content in collaboration with organizational stakeholders that aligns with the core values and strategic goals of the organization and can be used as part of a content marketing strategy.
- Create and update branded materials, graphics, and videos for various external and internal communications
- Create copy for advancement campaigns, stories and articles, email drip campaigns, and more
- Support social media and website management as needed, including scheduling social content as directed and ensuring photo clearance compliance on all content.
- Track, measure, and report out on KPIs for all web, social, and customized URL content. Collaborate with Associate Director of Development on email campaign KPIs and incorporate into reports.
- Interface with PR firms and local media to coordinate media appearances and news coverage
- Help manage the Communications Calendar and Strategy, Advancement Homepage, and MarComm Team files.
- Manage branded apparel and stationary storefronts as well as all branded items requests.
- Provide general marketing and communications support to all areas of the organization including, but not limited to: Advancement, Recruiting, Human Resources, Programs and Operations, and Consulting
- Maintain ongoing relationships across the organization to facilitate organizational goals that require marketing support
Qualifications:
- One-two years of marketing and communications experience.
- BS/BA Degree; ideally in Marketing, Communications, English, Public Relations, or Journalism is preferred but not required.
- Ability to work on a fast-paced team managing multiple simultaneous requests.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Basic knowledge of graphic design and video editing tools.
- Basic knowledge of social media platforms.
- Basic knowledge or desire to learn WordPress and Google Analytics.
- Strong project management and time management skills.
- Meticulous attention to detail.
- Creative and strategic thinking.
- Interest in emerging platforms, tools, and communications best practices.
- Ability to follow through on all assigned tasks.
- Ability to collaborate successfully with others.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Our budgeted salary range for this position is as follows*:

$53,550 to $56,700 annually
*The above budget salary range is a general guideline. Multiple factors are taken into consideration when determining base salary offers. Factors include, but are not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the role offered, candidate's experience, education, and skills.
