What are the responsibilities and job description for the Service Rig Hand position at Penn Mechanical Group, Inc.?
Position Summary:
The service rig hand will utilize power swivels, power tongs, and other tools to perform the following service rig functions: running tubing, pulling pipe, swabbing, cementing/well plugging. The service rig hand will also be responsible for rig maintenance such as greasing and painting and other duties as assigned.
Skills and Abilities Required:
- Must be willing to work outdoors and occasionally in adverse weather conditions.
- Must be willing to work weekends when required.
- Must be willing to work out of town in Western PA, Eastern OH, and Northern WV, when required.
- Must be willing to travel regionally, when required.
- Must be willing to work overtime.
- Must be willing to wear required Personal Protective Equipment.
- Must be willing to participate in safety training and meetings.
- Must be willing to work as part of a team.
- Possess ability to lift and carry objects up to 50 lbs.
- Possess ability to stand for extended periods of time.
- Possess ability to safely mount and dismount heavy equipment.
- Possess adequate close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception.
- Possess ability to interpret operator's manuals.
Qualifications and Experience Required:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Ability to pass a drug test
- Valid driver's License. CDL is a plus
- Ability to obtain a medical card
- Pole rig experience
