Operating Room Assistant- Full Time Days

• PURPOSE OF JOB :
  
  

Performs duties necessary to provide a safe, clean, and orderly environment for patients, surgeons and other staff in Surgical Services (OR, PACU, SDS and InPatient GI).

• ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :

• Provide a clean and orderly environment in all Surgical Services areas .
• Actively support the optimization of patient flow through all of Surgical Services .
• Exhibits excellent customer services skills and provides safe and efficient patient interaction with consideration for age-specific accommodations.
• Actively participates and supports department and organizational quality initiatives and goals.
  
  

Job Qualifications

V. QUALIFICATIONS :

• Education: Able to read, write and communicate fluently in the English language.
  
  

High School Diploma/GED required.

• Experience: Environmental Services or other hospitality related experience preferred.
  
  

Knowledge of cleaning methods, products, equipment, handling of waste disposal and soiled linen handling preferred.

• Other Skills: Ability to work independently and be part of a team
  
  

Must possess the ability to problem solve, demonstrate good judgement and make good decisions.

Ability to function under occasional pressure
