We are seeking a Licensed Behavioral Health Counselor to join our team at Penn Medicine Lancaster General Health. This is a 40 hour per week position with a competitive sign-on bonus for a 2-year commitment. You will work day shifts with one evening per week, no on-call, no holidays, and no weekends. Remote work opportunities are available up to 40% of your full-time equivalent delivering telemedicine services. Locations may vary across Lancaster County.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will provide short-term solution-focused behavioral health counseling services, complete biopsychosocial assessments, develop treatment plans, and collaborate with other treatment team members. You will work with patients and their families across various age groups, including children, adolescents, adults, and older adults. Your duties will also include facilitating group psycho-educational programs, providing in-service training to team members, and participating in quality improvement initiatives.
Requirements
A Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a related field is required, along with licensure by the State of Pennsylvania to practice independently. Two years' experience in mental health as a primary therapist or functional experience in therapeutic relationships is also necessary. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, along with the ability to maintain confidentiality, are essential for this role.
