Summary:
- Responsible for designing, programming, and validating clinical laboratory information systems, including Data Innovations, Remisol, and Cennexus middleware information systems, to ensure clinically accurate and robust performance. Will collaborate with other team members, including clinical laboratory staff and UPHS Data Analytics Center (DAC) to design and optimize laboratory testing workflows and processes. Ongoing projects include development of solutions for real-time access to clinical data and creation of operational and clinical reports, dashboards and analytics.
- Responsible for accurate, robust performance of Laboratory information systems, including Data Innovations, Remisol, and Cennexus middleware systems Design, program, and validate test parameters and advanced rules in Laboratory middleware information system. Assists with Interface testing with IS for any system integrations. Collaborate with Pathology Analytics and Data Analytics Center (DAC) teams to enable development of solutions for real-time access to clinical data and creation of operational and clinical reports, dashboards, and analytics. Define and develop standard QA/QI monitoring functions. Monitor system performance and database integrity on on-going basis to ensure uptime. Provide end-user training and technical support of Laboratory middleware information systems to technical and professional staff. Collaborate with vendors and LIS team to ensure that the interfaces between instruments, middleware, and Lab IS systems are properly functioning. Work with Lab IS team to maintain system devices. Collaborate with vendors, LIS, and server teams to develop, test, and implement backup and failure recovery solutions. Researches questions / problems concerning services of the department to determine possible solutions. Recognizes problems as they occur, Troubleshoots Laboraotry middleware information systems, and reviews records to identify recurrent or existing problems. Help with mapping of workflows and processes, to support procedure development. Determines effective solution or best course of action by reviewing alternatives, considering effect of action/solution upon the department or section. Resolves problems by initiating and/or recommending the selected course of action or solution. Communicates course of action to all involved.
- Bachelor of Arts or Science (Required)
- 2 years Relevant IS experience 2 years Clinical Laboratory Experience preferred 2 years Laboratory Information System or Healthcare IS experience preferred
