Summary:
- Provide system administration, network support, and related services to the faculty, staff, and students of the Perelman School of Medicine (PSOM) and its affiliates.
- Deploy, configure, manage, patch, update and troubleshoot servers running Red Hat Enterprise Linux and similar distributions.
- Install and debug a wide range of web application software on PSOM servers, working with clients to resolve issues.
- Automate repetitive procedures and create custom monitoring tests.
- Participate in developing specifications, policies, procedures and standards for PSOM. Document all systems, applications, configurations, and changes
- Ability to perform administration of a UNIX / Linux system from the command line.
- Experience with web server software, including Apache httpd and execution environments, incl. Tomcat, mod_php, php-fpm, or passenger.
- Experience with database software, including MySQL or Oracle.
- Familiarity with installing applications from source code.
- Ability to write in Bash, Perl, PHP, or Python.
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience (Required)
- 3 experience administering Linux systems (Required)
