Job Title: Financial Analyst
Department: Medicine Finance
Location: Perlman Center for Advanced Medicine - 3400 Civic Center Blvd
Hours: Full Time

Summary:

• The Financial Analyst is responsible for processing monthly close journals, financial reporting, and variance explanations for assigned divisions. The Financial Analyst has a great understanding of the operating budgets and division clinical activity. The Financial Analyst mainly communicates with Division Administrators and other finance team members.

Responsibilities:

• Preparation of month end closing entries
• Provide analysis and variance explanations for monthly reporting
• Support division administrators in interpreting financial results
• Ability to identify opportunities for improvement in monthly, quarterly or annual processes
• Manage divisional balance sheets and follow up appropriately as needed
• Ability to Multitask and manage shifting priorities and deadlines, with an ability to work both independently and in a collaborative team environment
• Ability to cover other financial analyst workload in their absence
• Assisting in building supporting schedules for the budget cycle
• Performs duties in accordance with Penn Medicine and entity values, policies, and procedures
• Other duties as assigned to support the unit, department, entity, and health system organization

Education or Equivalent Experience:

• Bachelor of Arts or Science (Required)
• And 2 years experience in a Finance department, with a progressive accounting and budgeting, for a Healthcare System.
• Master of Arts or Science (preferred)
