Job Title : Financial Analyst
Department : Medicine Finance
Location : Perlman Center for Advanced Medicine - 3400 Civic Center Blvd
Hours : Full Time
Summary :
- The Financial Analyst is responsible for processing monthly close journals, financial reporting, and variance explanations for assigned divisions. The Financial Analyst has a great understanding of the operating budgets and division clinical activity. The Financial Analyst mainly communicates with Division Administrators and other finance team members.
Responsibilities :
Preparation of month end closing entries
Provide analysis and variance explanations for monthly reporting
Support division administrators in interpreting financial results
Ability to identify opportunities for improvement in monthly, quarterly or annual processes
Manage divisional balance sheets and follow up appropriately as needed
Ability to Multitask and manage shifting priorities and deadlines, with an ability to work both independently and in a collaborative team environment
Ability to cover other financial analyst workload in their absence
Assisting in building supporting schedules for the budget cycle
Performs duties in accordance with Penn Medicine and entity values, policies, and procedures
Other duties as assigned to support the unit, department, entity, and health system organization
Education or Equivalent Experience :
Bachelor of Arts or Science (Required)
And 2 years experience in a Finance department, with a progressive accounting and budgeting, for a Healthcare System.
Master of Arts or Science (preferred)
