This position is based in Philadelphia but is eligible to be performed remotely from within the United States. For remote work outside PA/NJ/DE/MD, employment will be through a third party.
Summary:
Responsibilities:
- Consultation: Viewed by executive level clients as a trusted advisor on project issues. Achieves overall client buy-in and understanding of needed action steps throughout the project. Proactively identifies client issues and collaborates with senior team members to address them. Tailors approach based on audience needs and manages meetings to desired outcomes.
- Insight Generation: Designs, builds and teaches models to solve complex problems. Expands client’s understanding of the power of data. Helps clients define ways to leverage data for management decision making, performance monitoring, or future planning.
- Problem Solving: Defines client issues and generates compelling solutions and recommendations using approaches that reflect broader context. Is creative in identifying and testing hypotheses that advance the client’s thinking. Effectively leads the team’s problem solving by helping colleagues focus on the most critical issues, continuously refining hypotheses, and challenge assumptions as appropriate.
- Results: Manages project by outcomes and deadlines, anticipating iterative nature of work. Develops work plans that reflect sound hypothesis-based problem solving, thorough understanding of project objectives and milestones, market dynamics, client factors, and industry trends. Anticipates, proactively mitigates, and helps resolve project issues.
- Teamwork: Maintains pulse on workload and morale of entire team and promptly addresses any concerns. Structures time and communication with project leadership to maximize impact and avoid last minute fire drills. Champions professional development of individual team members. Creates collaborative team environment that engenders consistent team learning through the day-to-day work and structured learning and reflection.
- Communication: Creates documents with tightly structured storylines. Synthesizes and crisply articulates key insights and client implications. Commands client audiences of all sizes is an engaging and articulate presenter. Chooses the right type and sequence of communications to engage the client.

Continuous Improvement: Actively works to develop team members through coaching, including providing constructive coaching to project leads to enhance the team environment and work product. Builds a productive feedback culture by giving frequent, actionable feedback, and ensuring that the recipient understands and can apply the feedback. Consistently seeks feedback and acts upon it.
Skills & Abilities:
- Experience user of Decision Support Platforms (preferred EPSI), with a focus in Cost Accounting
- Experience in System implementation / conversion
- Experience user of Finance / Accounting systems. FSM, Lawson or other Healthcare Financials preferred
- Strong critical thinking, analytic, and problem – solving skills with proven record of success
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to translate technical topics into layperson’s terms
- Ability to identify and call out major drivers of cost change and how they will impact cost results
- Proficient in SQL
- Solid understanding of Healthcare Financial Accounting practices
- Excellent organization, strong motivation, and the ability to manage multiple task
- Familiarity with Databricks, Power Pivot and Power BI
Education or Equivalent Experience:
- Bachelor of Arts or Science Business, Statistics or a related field Equivalent Experience (Required)
- And 5 years' experience working with large, complex datasets, conducting data analyses, and generating insights. Hands on experience with cost accounting data. Proven track record of independently leading projects from concept to execution, coordinating with cross-functional teams, as needed.
