About the Role:
As a Medical Courier and Telehealth Technician at Penn Medicine at Home (PMAH), you will play a crucial role in delivering top-notch care and support to our patients. Your responsibilities will include:
- Telehealth Equipment Delivery and Support: Deliver, install, and retrieve telehealth equipment in patients' homes. Provide clear instructions and education to ensure patients are comfortable using the devices.
- Technical Troubleshooting: Assist patients with any technical issues, including rebooting tablets and pairing Bluetooth devices like blood pressure cuffs and pulse oximeters.
- Home Safety Assessments: Conduct structural and environmental assessments to ensure a safe setup for telehealth equipment.
- Infection Control: Follow strict infection control procedures during patient encounters and equipment decontamination.
- Documentation: Accurately document all equipment deliveries, pickups, and patient education in our Electronic Medical Record system.
- Medical Supply and Specimen Transportation: Securely transport medical supplies and specimens, ensuring timely and efficient delivery.
- Communication and Patient Satisfaction: Maintain open communication with patients, caregivers, and team members. Address any concerns promptly to ensure high patient satisfaction.
- Inventory Management: Keep our equipment and supplies organized and well-maintained.
What We’re Looking For:
- Credentials: A valid driver's license, car insurance, and access to a personal vehicle are required.
- Education: A high school diploma or GED is required.
- Experience: At least one year of experience in handling and delivering home medical equipment, operating and repairing Bluetooth-enabled medical technology, or providing patient interaction and education is preferred.
