PSA Penn Terminals is looking for a dynamic and strategic leader to serve as the Manager of Business Development, to be based out of our corporate office in Eddystone, Pennsylvania. A Business Development Manager maintains strong business relationships with PSA Penn Terminal’s strategic clients while developing logistics strategies for their Beneficial Cargo Owners (BCO’s) via our capabilities in stevedoring, on-dock warehousing, cargo cross-docking and Container Freight Station (CFS) activities, adding value to the client’s business, managing client expectations, and delivering positive results to PSA Penn Terminals.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Responsible for “Business Development” growth by using your sales skills and supply chain knowledge for identifying, securing, and servicing BCO customers
- Identify, establish, and develop new and existing customer relationships through a systematic sales approach that includes identifying supply chain buyers and influencers of BCO’s
- Collaborate with the Operations and Finance and other relevant teams to ensure the seamless onboarding of new business while addressing current business needs
- Create and maintain relationships with various trade groups and associations within the overall logistics world applicable to our customers and their BCO’s
- Ability to simultaneously make cold calls and manage / build a portfolio of business
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business data and reports
- Ability to define external challenges, establish facts, and make valid recommendations to Senior Management on the potential of securing BCO opportunities via our capabilities
- Ability to travel, both domestically and internationally, on an as needed basis, for account development and maintenance, trade show / conference attendance and / or corporate meetings / training
- Occasional after hours or weekend work / travel as required by customer demand and / or seasonality typical to the maritime / logistics / transportation industry
- Liaise with Management on strategic issues
- Maintain strong awareness of local competitors (ports and marine terminals) customer base, infrastructural changes and / or enhancements and / or reductions in services
- Review professional publications / web journals for marketplace trends and / or business opportunities
- All other duties as assigned
