This is a Union position. Membership in IBOB Local 802 is mandatory after 30 calendar days.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Follows company safety policies and procedures and encourages other team members to do the same.
- Safely drive forklifts ranging from 3,500 to 55,000 LB capacity Safely drive an Ottawa style Yard Jockey Truck (aka "Yard Hustler")
- All other duties as assigned.

Physical Demands : The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee will perform physical labor including handling twist locks (@ 12 lbs each) and shared lifting of lashing bars (up to 50 lbs.).
Working conditions and Environment : This work is performed in a noisy industrial environment.

ENTRY POSITION : The ideal candidate will be able to lash / secure containers on barges, operate jockey truck with loaded trailer; and operate a forklift in a refrigerated warehouse.
Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) required .
Salary : $19 - $22
