What are the responsibilities and job description for the Press Operator 1st and 2nd Shift Openings position at PENNANT MOLDINGS LLC?
Description:
• Operate stamping presses and related process equipment in accordance with standard operating procedures, work instructions, and specifications
• Identify process problems and trouble shoot before notifying the appropriate personnel
• Read and interpret job specifications to determine machine set up, machine adjustments, material requirements, production methods, and sequence of operation
• Perform minor machine maintenance such as mixing and applying lubricants to material
• Set electronic press controls for proper feed stroke, pilot pin release, air blast, lube shot, and die protection
• Inspect work pieces for conformance to specifications and adjusting the machine to correct errors
• Ensure parts are properly stacked or packed for movement or shipment
• Responsible for having a basic understanding of Die Set Up
• Assists in training new hires
• Complete all other duties as assigned by the team lead or supervisor
• Maintain a clean, organized work area
Requirements:
• Metal stamping experience required; minimum 5-7 years machine operating experience
• Knowledge of raw material, production process, and quality control
• Able to lift up to 50lbs unassisted repetitively
• Basic math and equipment measurement skills
• Strong attention to detail and emphasis on quality
• Must be reliable and have good attendance
• Must demonstrate the desire and aptitude to take Extreme Ownership of their role
