POSITION: CHOREOGRAPHER
LOCATION: PENNCREST HIGH SCHOOL
INFORMATION: THIS POSITION IS PAID AT THE HOURLY RATE OF $39.00/HR
THIS POSITION WILL WORK UP TO 115 HOURS BETWEEN
JULY 1, 2025, TO JULY 25, 2025.
(NO WORK ON JULY 4)
TIME: 8:45AM TO 3:15PM, MONDAY TO FRIDAY
JOB DESCRIPTION: Create and develop original dance routines that align with the artistic vision of the production. Adapt choreography to suit performers' skill levels, ensuring a visually compelling and technically sound performance. Teach and rehearse choreography with individuals, ensembles, or full casts. Provide clear instruction and demonstrations of dance techniques. Offer constructive feedback and coaching to help dancers improve technique, expression, and stage presence. Assist in casting and auditioning dancers or performers as needed. Work closely with directors, musicians, costume designers, and lighting technicians to integrate choreography seamlessly into productions.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and talk or hear and sometimes walk and sit. Occasionally the employee will bend or twist the neck more than the average person. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may occasionally push or lift up to 50 lbs., such as boxes of books. The employee is directly responsible for the safety, well-being, and work output of students.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision such as reading handwritten or typed material, and the ability to adjust focus. The position requires the individual to meet multiple demands from several people and interact with the public and other staff. Subject to indoor work environment the majority of the time. The noise level in the work environment is moderate to loud.
