About us
Penndel Borough is a small borough located in Lower Bucks County. Our borough is around 0.42 square miles and we serve a community of around 2,500 residents. Our police department focuses heavily on Community Policing as well as making sure that our officers are well trained for the position. We focus heavily on a team effort within our department to provide excellent service to our residents, businesses, and visitors of our borough.
PART-TIME POLICE OFFICER POSITION
Penndel Borough Police Department is seeking a highly motivated candidate for the roll of Part-Time Police Officer to join our team.
Compensation:
- Starting pay is $33.25 per hour with contractual yearly increases.
- Yearly uniform allowance provided.
Work Schedule
- 16-24 hours per week
- 8-hour shifts (with overtime if required to work over 8 hours).
- 12 holidays paid at overtime rate if worked
- Paid time off based on yearly hours worked

Minimum Requirements:
Applicants must be 21 years or older at the time of application.
Applicants must possess a high school diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.).
Applicants must possess a current Act 120 Certification at the time of application.
Applicants with prior Law Enforcement Experience are preferred but not required.
Applicant must be a United States Citizen at time of application.
Applicants must possess a valid Pennsylvania driver’s license and suitable driving record.
No felony or misdemeanor criminal convictions will be accepted.
Applicants must be in good health and physical condition at time of application. Any successful candidate must also pass a drug screening, physical examination, and psychological examination.
Applicants must be able to read, write and speak the English language fluently.
Applicants must possess basic computer literacy skills.
Applicants must be of good moral character.
Applicants must have positive employment and financial history.
Applicants must be able to perform the essential job functions as a patrol officer.
Applicants must be able to conform to all hiring standards set by the Municipal Police Officers’ Education and Training Commission (MPOETC).
